Obituary for Thomas Alan Keson

Thomas Alan Keson
June 12, 1945-Aug. 27, 2016

Thomas Alan Keson of Ludington passed away and entered heaven on Aug. 27, 2016. He was born June 12, 1945 in Ludington to Walter and Lorraine (Johnson) Keson. On May 18, 1968, he married Joyce (Morell) Keson who survives. Also surviving are his son Craig, grandson Griffin Walter Keson and Grant Thomas Keson of LaPorte, Indiana.

Tom graduated from Ludington High School in 1963. He was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the Marine Corps from 1964-1967. He returned to Ludington working at Great Lakes Casting, Merdel Game Co., Pandrol Jackson, and Dow Chemical Co., retiring in 2003.

He loved the out-of-doors where he spent numerous hours cutting wood, deer hunting, canoeing, camping, and motorcycle riding. He also enjoyed serving on the P.M. Fire Dept. and P.M. Township Board of Review. He enjoyed men’s coffee groups at McDonald’s and The Pink Elephant in Hart. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Riverton Township.

He is also survived by his mother, Lorraine Keson, brother and sister-in-law Mike and Elsie Keson, sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann and Bill Lehrbass all of Mason County, sister-in-law Permilla Herin of Rockford, along with nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter, in 1977.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at Oak Grove Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Center Riverton Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank Drs.
